# Data Retention

Manage how long your verification data is stored in Emailable.

You can control how long API verification data is retained in your Emailable account.

## Manage your Data Retention Preferences

From your Emailable dashboard, navigate to [Data Retention](https://app.emailable.com/account#data_retention).

### Data Retention Options

 In **API Single Verification**, choose how long single verification data should be retained.

  - 3 days
  - 7 days

  In **API Batch Verification**, choose how long batch verification data should be retained.

  - 7 days
  - 14 days
  - 30 days

Click **Save** to apply your changes.

Your verification data will be automatically deleted from Emailable after the specified time.

Due to our strict security and data retention guidelines, all data is permanently deleted after 30 days of verification.

We do this to keep our data secure, which is a core priority for us.
